So the weather is getting warmer and the beach is starting to look more appealing! I have been trying to spend as much time outside as possible! I have been going for runs around the city and sitting at the coffee shops outside to do homework! For some reason it is so much easier to do homework when it involved the sun and a coffee!
I tried to hold out as long as possible to get my hair done in Spain, but after realizing my roots were about an inch long I decided it was time to bite the bullet and get my hair done! I did my research and found an English salon! The workers spoke English and I was able to get my hair colored and cut and it didn’t turn out orange! They did things a little bit differently than back in the states, but I think the end product turned out just as good!
I also had my first hospital experience for an annoying cough that I am unable to get rid of! I was given a translator to communicate with the doctor and things seemed to go pretty smoothly. It was interesting thought because the doctor came in and did a minimal inspection, wrote me a prescription and did not diagnose me with anything specific. It seemed that you could just go in there tell them what is wrong and they write you a prescription. Kind of sketchy, but I am not complaining I was in and out!
Kiersten and I continued to develop our cooking skills and took our second cooking course where we made an AMAZING meal!

I am most definitely making this chicken dish and dessert again for my friends and family back home! It was awesome and definitely hit the spot!
Recently it was our friends 21st birthday and if anyone knows Kiersten and I we are obsessed with baking…especially cupcakes so we set out to make our friend an “Irish Car Bomb” birthday cake! It took us literally three days and three different stores to find all of the ingredients (baking soda and baking powder were the worst) that we needed, but we made it and it tasted amazing!!! I don't have a pic of it because I lost my camera :( Guess that just means I have to make another one!
I am beyond excited to spend so many upcoming weekends in Barcelona so I can explore the city a little bit more and enjoy the wonderful beach that it has to offer! <3 Soon Kiersten and I will be Coco-bronze goddesses!

Bri,
ReplyDeleteThis blog has distracted me from doing my homework and you are completely to blame! The attractiveness of the different cultures and scenery had me lured right away, and you are terrific at writing blogs which makes it that much easier.
